When sixteen-year-old Tess Kendrick is sent to live with her older sister, Ivy, she has no idea that the infamous Ivy Kendrick is Washington D.C.'s #1 “fixer,” known for making politicians' scandals go away for a price. No sooner does Tess enroll at Hardwicke Academy than she unwittingly follows in her sister's footsteps and becomes D.C.'s premier high school fixer, solving problems for elite teens.
Secrets pile up as each sister lives a double life. . . . until their worlds come crashing together and Tess finds herself in the middle of a conspiracy with one of her classmates and a client of Ivy's. Suddenly, there is much more on the line than good grades, money, or politics, and the price for this fix might be more than Tess is willing to pay.
Perfect for fans of Pretty Little Liars and Heist Society, readers will be clamoring for more in this exciting new series.
When I read "The Naturals" by Jennifer, I absolutely fell in love with it. It was thrilling, clever and exactly what I wanted to read [at the time, at least!] It also received the highest of ratings from me. To say that I "like" that book would be an understatement.
That's why when I found out that Jennifer's got a political thriller coming out, I freaked! I haven't read Pretty Little Liars or Heist Society but I do love stepping out of my comfort zone. The Naturals [crime thriller] was actually considered "out of my comfort zone" and look how well that turned out!
Definitely will be keeping my eye out for this book.
Okay, this one sounds absolutely AMAZING! Adding it to my TBR now :)
ReplyDeleteWow, its been a while since I've read a good thriller, and this seems to fit the bill. I haven't read her Naturals, but I have it in my TBR and I think I'll go with that first and then come to this. PS, beautiful cover, huh?
ReplyDeleteI didn't know Jennifer Lynn Barnes had a new book coming out! This sounds... I'm not sure. Certainly interesting. How interesting would depend on what the conspiracy is/the thriller aspect is like.
ReplyDeleteReading the summary all I could think of was the TV show Scandal, which I've never watched but my mum is obsessed with. No idea if it's related/has the same sort of plot idea or not.
