novel melodies
Novel Melodies is the analysis of a specific song's lyrics with a book. I compare lyrics in context of the song and how it applies to situations within the book I'm featuring. These posts take a long time but they're amazing to do!

book tag
Book Tags are a series of questions pertaining to a particular theme. Usually, you answer by choosing a book but sometimes, it's a character, author, fictional world etc. When you "do" a book tag [write up a post], you'll tag someone else and the chain goes on. I like to tag everyone!
Frequency: Tuesdays or Wednesdays. I do the ones I see around the blogosphere or if I've been tagged by one of you.
Note: This book tag graphic will not be used because I enjoy using gifs for book tags.
The method behind "Mandatory Rules On..." is in two parts. The first is me making fun of some bloggers' posts on how newbie bloggers should blog. Blogging is something that's different for everyone and while advice is great, it should never be mandatory.
The second is me showing some of the behavior I've seen readers/authors/bloggers display. This feature is to expose the bad behavior of others and convey the message of how we should be good people.
Frequency: Wednesdays when I don't feel like doing a WoW post [i'm trying to get away from memes.]

mandatory rules on...
Mandatory Rules On... is one of those kinds of posts that need to be understood before judged. At first glance, it's a series of posts that offer terrible, rude advice. In fact, all the things I talk about are things you shouldn't do, but I cannot deny my sarcastic personality. The method behind "Mandatory Rules On..." is in two parts. This meme started out being titled Won't Shut Up but has faded since. In simplest terms, this is just the fancy way of saying "random posts" or the discussion posts. It's the ones where I give my opinions of something random. Posts like negative reviews, being the black sheep, fangirling, social media etc. is considered a "won't shut up" post.
Frequency: every other Friday, shared with rants.
It's pretty self explanatory. A lot of things irritate the crap out of me and this is my outlet. These rants are for mostly things boookish, though some real life examples might be thrown in the mix every so often.
Frequency: Alternate Fridays, shared with won't shut up/musings/discussion posts.

Monthly Recap [formerly Stacking the Shelves] is a combination of Stacking the Shelves and my... recap of the month. This will be more of a personal post than about blog stats. I switched to Monthly Recap because I wanted to talk about my life and how my month went!
For those who don't know, Stacking the Shelves is the way for us bloggers to show off the books we've gotten and the things we're reading! It's so much fun and I love doing it. Unfortunately, it takes a lot of work, which is why I only now do it every month.
