Omg, I am frantically typing this as I didn't even know it was the readathon today!!!! EEEEPPP! Anyway, good thing for me because it's only been two hours. Last year, I did a lot of updating and I hope to not do it this year. I'll be doing hourly updates but not to the point of insanity like last year.

Dewey's Mini-Challenge Hour 2 - Book Tunes

I'm currently reading/finishing up Bad Girls Don't Die. This is a creepy story about a girl who gets possessed by dolls. My "song"? Valley of the Dolls by Marina and the Diamonds. It's kind of the perfect song for this.

Valley of the Dolls talks about a girl who's feeling empty and trying to fit in by acting like a different person. And at the end of it, she's got to suffer. It's like she's been "awakened" when she's acting like the different people but when she's just being herself, she's "asleep". This is just like Bad Girls Don't Die because the evil doll spirit takes over the mind of whoever has her (she acts like a different person) and also when she's being herself, she can't do anything, ergo, she's sleeping.
