Musings of 2013: Goodbye to 2013

Guys, it's just occurred to me that this is the last day of 2013.

I mean, it's been a great year. I've done so much; seen so much; been in a bunch of crap and lived to tell the tale. This has been the hardest year of my life so far, for personal reasons. Because of this, I have no idea what I'm supposed to say.

You know that feeling where you know it's coming, but you don't want it to. I'm terrified of what'll happen in 2014. I'm also like the most insecure person...ever, so that doesn't exactly help. I can only hope I'll have the support and friendship so many people have given me. Also, I have frequent depression spells in which people have tried to comfort me.

In 2013, I started blogging. It's one of the biggest decisions in my life and also something that changed it entirely.

In 2013...

• Got called "crazy" by Amanda Sun (in a good way)
• Won a bunch of giveaways
• Made a lot of friends
• Had a few fights and personal situations that I (painfully) bounced back from.

•  Gushed over books and cried over them too.
• Started getting more books and organized my bookshelf
• Turned 13 and got my hair dyed.

A lot of things that happened in 2013, I can't even remember. All I know is I get this feeling of terror right before the year ends. I don't know what's going to happen in 2014 and that's what scares the complete CRAP out of me.

I'm going to be 14 next year and it's going to be terrifying. I'm scared of turning older. I'm scared of a lot of things, but going to high school is definitely one of them.

 So to finish this year, I just want to give everyone a hug. Tell everyone that I'm going to be okay (or at least pretend) and end the year with an awesome giveaway. Following my own themes, there are going to be two giveaways -both US only (sorry INT people!). One is of a book in 2013 that I liked and one is of a book that's coming out in a week from now; in 2014!

Anita Grace Howard is the author of Splintered and Unhinged. She's freaking amazing to talk to on twitter and teases me constantly because I want Morpheus and am fighting over him with a LOT of other girls. She's constantly there and really nice to talk to! She also sent me swag during a charity event in my school back in April of '13. She writes amazing and craaaazy fantasy. Seriously; I had to read Splintered twice and read Unhinged at snail pace. She's donated a copy of Unhinged to one lucky person. (Love yeah!)

Katie McGarry is someone I met. I went to a signing and she recognized me as someone who fangirled over her books. I adore her and her awesome Southern accent that I didn't even know she had. She's super nice and also very interactive on twitter too! She writes kickass romances that make me swoon, even though I can't have Noah... It'll happen though... She's donated a copy of Crash Into You! I hope you enter and love Isaiah as much as I did.
