The capital has fallen. The Darkling rules Ravka from his shadow throne.
Now the nation's fate rests with a broken Sun Summoner, a disgraced tracker, and the shattered remnants of a once-great magical army.
Deep in an ancient network of tunnels and caverns, a weakened Alina must submit to the dubious protection of the Apparat and the zealots who worship her as a Saint. Yet her plans lie elsewhere, with the hunt for the elusive firebird and the hope that an outlaw prince still survives.
Alina will have to forge new alliances and put aside old rivalries as she and Mal race to find the last of Morozova's amplifiers. But as she begins to unravel the Darkling's secrets, she reveals a past that will forever alter her understanding of the bond they share and the power she wields. The firebird is the one thing that stands between Ravka and destruction—and claiming it could cost Alina the very future she’s fighting for.
I BINGE read this series. Like, I'm typically not a fan of high fantasy because it's very hard for me to get into a world that isn't my own. So one day I find out I win the first and second book (among others) in a Fierce Reads chat. I'm excited but when I get the books, I still don't read them. It's only one day, I decide to pick them up and THANK GOD I did!
This series is wonderful. I'm in love with it and it deserves all the hype it gets. My gosh!
So of course, with the ending I got from Siege and Storm, I am not satisfied at all! There must be justice in the conclusion to this book. And that's why this is definitely my WOW. I've already got it pre-ordered and I'm so excited to read it. Wow, I haven't been as excited since Allegiant.
*makes grabby hands* I want my preorder of this one already hereeee!!!
