I found this event through twitter and I instantly fell in love. I'm down with all ideas that spread love amongst the blogosphere. This post includes all the challenges, other thinsg and an interview between me and Alysia from My Little Pocketbooks.
This is an event to spread the love between participants. I will be commenting on blogs all through tomorrow! (My comments are usually for one recent post that isn't a review. I don't have enough time to do more, but the comments I post are of okay length and show I actually read the post!) And I'd really appreciate a comment on a post other than this one in return! Perhaps a review or one of my "fun" posts.
Challenge #1: Book Spine Poetry!
I'm not sure I'm good at this, but whatever. Here is my go.
Defiance across the universe, spoiled lies beneath, supernaturally. |
Interview with Alysia from My Little Pocketbooks!
1. Do you multitask, if so, what?I multitask for everything as much as possible. Being a coordinator it is almost mandatory. I drive to and from work listening to audiobooks. I do laundry and cook at the same time on Sundays. When I get my nails done I check emails, Twitter and Facebook.
2. Fave genre of book?
I like Fiction (almost anything with a good story)
3. Author that's been so awesome (nice) and supportive! You can list multiples.
Tayari Jones, Tara Conklin there are more but those are the ones off the top of my head
4. A new obsession?
Bellydance. I love it!!!! It is not a new one but a renewed one.
5. Tell us about taste in music!
I love so many genres and styles. My go to is Lettuce, The Brand New Heavies, middle eastern, I love Jill Scott and Adele, and Melody Gardot too! Not into rap and country.
6. Biggest pet peeve?
People dragging their feet when they walk and people that chew with their mouths open ARGH!! Just typing it is making me insane.
7. Dark or milk chocolate?
Milk!!
8. Dream guy from a book... It's crazy, but you can only choose one! Hehe.
So hard to pick one! But I will go for Marco from The Night Circus. He made a boat out of love letters. Hell yeah!
9. Something you want to do blogging or real life, but haven't had a chance to do it.
Sleep! Hahaha Just kidding! Uhmmm Travel throughout Europe. I have done Asia now I want to see Europe. all of it.
10. Most anticipated read of 2014 for you!
This year I am focusing on reading books that have been here on my shelf collecting dust. And there are a ton of them like Legend by Marie Lu and Beneath the Marble Sky by John Shors.
Hope you enjoyed this interview! Leave some comment love on this post and my other recents! I'm going through my comments and returning them all! Hehe!
I definitely agree about the chewing with your mouth open. It's really gross and it doesn't hurt to close your mouth while chewing. I mean, usually it doesn't bother me because it depends on the type of food and how much I can see, but with liquidy foods it's really unsanitary and weird. The only style of music that I'm familiar with on your list is Adele, but maybe I need to be expanding my overall music knowledge. A LOT of my friends are into rap but I'm mostly into alternative and indie stuff, so I never know what songs they're playing on their phones when we're together!
ReplyDeleteI love multitasking as well! I think it's also how much I hate sitting in silence so I do homework, blog comment, just about EVERYTHING while I'm watching TV. I feel like it's not really multitasking because I can't equally concentrate on both but it gives me a false feeling of productivity. Nice interview, you too!
I am a perpetual multi-tasker, so I understand! I just like the efficiency of getting more than one thing done at a time whenever possible. Plus, I'm a bit ADD so it helps to switch tasks to not get bored. Great interview!
ReplyDeleteGreat interview! I really need to finish the freaking Legend series - I hear it just keeps getting better and better!
ReplyDeleteChewing with your mouth open is so disrespectful. I think I prefer milk chocolate too! I would love to travel the world, I can't wait for the day it's all going to start.

Thank you so much for the great interview Nova. I am sorry I just an opportunity to post your cute interview right now. I love your answers!!! :)
ReplyDeleteAlysia and I share a couple pet peeves! I'm definitely guilty of scuffing my feet when I'm cranky, but I try not to do it in public, at least! Haha
ReplyDeleteI would love to have travelled all over Asia!
Legend is on my TBR list, too. I bought it over the summer but haven't gotten around to reading it yet. This interview also made me want to read The Night Circus, another book that's been sitting on my shelf unread.
ReplyDeleteI really like that you put everything together in one post! It's very clean and efficient! I love seeing everyone's poetry...I wish I hadn't been at work so I could have participated!
ReplyDeleteGreat loveathon post! I love your book spine poetry, it's just lovely <3 Followed you, love discovering new blogs through loveathon!
