My Thoughts

May include spoilers, read at your own risk! (I'm really bad at going spoiler-free as much as I try.)
This song instantly reminded me of Divergent because of it's confident edge. To me, it's more about Tris' personality, rather than the actual book Divergent. But, this also relates to the book at the same time. Or at least, I'm going to draw some parallels!

FIRST VERSE

There's an "S" under my clothes
On my chest where nobody else can see

Tris' stature is described as really small. Meaning that people would underestimate her. But really, she's Divergent (s under the clothes) and no one else can see how amazing she is.

I light up when the doors are closed
I am free, yeah
 In Abnegation, she isn't free to do what she actually wants.

And I wish I could make my move
I can tell that you're really into me
And I don't got a thing to lose, in my dreams, in my dreams
I'm assuming this part is towards Four. 2nd line is irrelevant, but the first line is that she can't make a move on him because he's two years older than her and she's got more important things to worry about than boy problems.

PRE-CHORUS
I'm a bad ass, jumping off the moving train
 Come on! Come on! This is like directly from Divergent! HEHE.

I'm a Jane Bond, putting all the guys to shame
I'm a wild card, and I'm gonna steal your game

You better watch out

Message to other initiates! Watch out other initiates, Tris here is going to kick all of your butts in the initiation.

So this is the very essence of Tris in her development. She's got all that power and control. She'll make all of us fall. (That was actually a Marina and the Diamonds lyric). Tris is just such a cool and strong character and this 

I might look all innocent
But the embers are burning inside of me
And I'm ready to take that step, can't you see, can't you see?
Tris is MEANT to look innocent. That's her facade and it's just her character. But again, this is her change from Abnegation to Dauntless.

Remember how Tris has that fear of ______? That one that involved Four? LOL. So, that's what these lines remind me of. Haha.  Especially because Demi sings about "fear".

And if I haven't said it yet, I kind of love this book so damn much. The 2nd and 3rd were a waste in my opinion, but book 1 is always in my heart <333
