My lovely friend
Mishma knows how hard tags can be for me and yet, she still tags me. I love her to pieces. And even more special! This tag was
created by her. How cool? So without further ado, here are pixar movies paired with some bookish questions!
Nova likes food. Nova likes the idea that everyone deserves a chance. Why not? Also, the part where Remy could control the boy's actions through his hair made no sense in the least but I liked it. And the girl drove a motorcycle and she was pretty badass.
I actually still have this series on my shelf. I don't really like how the series kept going on and on but the original six books are my favorite. There's humor and fighting and somewhere along the road, I forgot it was about
cats. Hey, it was either this or Harry Potter and I feel as though Harry Potter is a given.
"I know what you are."
"Say it."
"*gives a scientific explanation on how vampires came to be *"
Seriously, this book was like Twilight crossed with my science textbooks. Plus, the ending with the girl being isolated and her man having to go save her was parallel in both books.
I'd like to think that I've mentioned my fave in every single book tag I've done. The Darkling is my fave villain - no one can top him. I just love him so much.
I know Lara Jean was pretty immature and even though her dad was pretty clueless, I loved the family dynamic in this book. Her dad was obviously trying to be there, plus her sisters were such a big part of her life. Love it!
The fun part about Red Queen is that I have no idea whose powers I would want. Everyone's seems awesome! [But the mind control one might be for me. Watch out, children.]
This is the only one I could think of where I've read it. I haven't read Open Road Summer but truthfully, that was the first one I thought of. Q and friends stealing the actual car also made me giggle while choosing this.
Lucien being Tamlin's sidekick was the bomb. He was the only character who truly made me laugh.
I've mentioned this in previous book tags so I don't even have shame for the overlap. Whoops. I love that this isn't set in the US and because I'm very interested in French history, anyway.
This one took some time to think of. A lot of books are great in terms of romance but I specifically remember this one for its beauty. I didn't necessarily swoon at it but the beautiful part was how both Skyler and Josh were so messed up and how they found each other and found themselves. Love this book.
Micheline was so cool! She knew how to fight and she fronted her team when the rest of them were guys. Love a strong female lead. Plus, she's loyal and has all the good qualities in a badass heroine.
DUDE THIS BOOK - I don't even know how to explain it. I just got every feel from this book. It was so cute and even though not medically correct, I flailed over the blossoming romance between Olly and Maddy.
I think it's funny that I ended up using half of these in book tags of old. I have no creativity - whoops. Also, I don't really like that many books so the ones I do like, I love them hardcore which is why they end up on every book tag. Like, The Grisha for example -
every book tag should have The Grisha in it some way or another.
As always, I tag everyone! Mishma is a lovely human being - let's make her tag a success! And let's discuss: which books did you agree with? Which ones are you like, "bruh, no"?
I've been thinking about picking up Rook for quite some time, and I've been seeing it on a lot of people's tag lists, so I may just nab this one next time. I was actually sold on Velvet just based on cover, but hearing this, I think I'll pass over it. And Lucien was totally the saving grace of ACOTAR. Lovely tag and answers!
ReplyDeleteThis is such a cool tag! I love the movie Ratatouille but I haven't seen it in ages
ReplyDeleteRatatouille was such a mouth-watering movie, I feel hungry just remembering the cooking scenes!
ReplyDeleteThe Darkling is the definition of a hard-to-hate YA villain. And I couldn't even think of Paper Towns for that road trip question, even though the road trip part was my only favorite part *FAIL*! Lucien was such a loya sidekick and literally everyone in the book kept treating him as a punching bag but he still sacrificed himself for his friends, bless his soul. Your description of Rook is the first positive one I saw WHAAT I need to check it out then :O
Don't stab me, but I don't love The Darkling.. OH MY GOD, I know, it's shocking isn't it? *cries* I just don't see the alluring nature of him. Still, Lucien though in ACOTAR, he was my babe, I loved him so much!<3 Red Queen was so good with all the powers, and I've loving the cover of Velvet, but vampires and Twilight? Er, nope. Great tag Nova! :D
ReplyDeleteAmanda @ Nellie and Co
First of all - what a cool tag!! And also, YESSS THE DARKLING OMG. ALSO LUCIEN.
ReplyDeleteYou have excellent taste :P
Lucien was the best part of ACoTaR! And I loved the Warriors series as a child, but I agree with you, the original series was the best. :)
ReplyDeleteThis is a really cool book tag!
ReplyDeleteI've heard of Rook. I think I'm going to have to give it a read. Plus, that cover!
I really, really want to read Red Queen. Even more now, after what you said about it! And Sarah J. Maas. I still haven't read her.
YAY, YOU DID IT!:) *hugs Nova* Did I mention lately that I love you? No? Then let me say it again, I love you Nova!:)
ReplyDeleteRemy was such a cute rat!:) I adored him:)
Your pick of The Darkling wasn't exactly a surprise!:) I saw that coming. But then, who's complaining? You can keep on picking him for all of your tags and no one will mind! He's that amazing. *swoons*
Thanks for doing this hun! I loved reading your answers:)
This tag is So. CUTE!
ReplyDeleteI like that it allows you to discuss your favorite Pixar movie, as well. :P
Darkling, um, totally YES.
I am so thrilled to see some Lucien love here. I had the biggest crush on him when I read the book, and he is just snotty enough yet loyal enough to win me over.
Aah *squeels* I have Shadow and Bone officially on my shelf and I am so PUMPED to read it. I mean, it's been on my tbr for years. Never fear, though, for I have a copy and I shall read it and hopefully fall for the Darkling like everyone seems to. He seems like an interesting villain.
ReplyDeleteAnd simply because it's in reference to Inside out, which I haven't even seen, I'm twelve times more excited to read Everything Everything! xx
