I figured that it would be kind of cool to share my 8tracks playlists as they get published. On average, it takes a month to create a playlist due to laziness and because my song library is pretty short at the moment.
No Cure For Nostalgia was a playlist inspired by the stupid boy who I liked for a solid year. He turned out to be the biggest jerk and now I see him every day for class. The most we've ever done is made eye contact for a solid five seconds. It only hurts because we were friends before - or at least, I thought we were. This playlist is all about wishing for a happier time and reminiscing of what really went down and who was to blame. Basically, if you feel like your heart is being ripped out, this playlist is doing its job.
Also, it reminds me of the series that ended and the characters that have died. We had a good run, Dumbledore.
I didn't really stick to a genre for this album but a lot of it is pop. It isn't radio pop, more like slow ballad-type songs but I do hope you give it a try. [I've also got some Leighton Meester and Jason Walker in there, if that makes ya happy.]
I'm starting to create 8tracks playlists because music is a huge part of my life and I use it for a bunch of different reasons. Currently, I have at least three playlists that aren't finished but have graphics and their descriptions written. If you get a chance, click the actual site because I worked for hours on that 500 character description and I'm so proud of it.
In addition, each song is annotated with a little message. The order of the songs are actually pretty important because I tried my hardest to tell a story - if not a little skewed. Below is the track listing but you're going to have to listen yourself if you want the annotations. However, the annotations only show up if you're listening to the playlist on the 8tracks site. Just click the link in the widget below to take you to the site. ;)
