The Avenged Sevenfold Book Tag

with 7 comments
This tag is created by Jessi @ Novel Heartbeat and was inspired by The Book Life! The Avenged Sevenfold is a fun way to pair book titles to their songs with each song inspiring a set of criteria. Since I tagged Jessi for the Tay Swift version [because I am an evil little bugger like that], she decided to create her own tag, which, I must say, is made of awesome!

I first heard about this because of the second installment. Back when I was a Disney-loving wannabe, I was obsessed with the show, Shake It Up. You know, the one that had Zendaya and Bella Thorne [who are God knows where now...] Anyway, Zendaya did the book trailer for the second book, From Bad to Cursed, which I have to say is amazing. Bella did one for the third book, but I liked Zendaya's more.
Anyway, this series deals with creepy dolls. That is why it is fave.

95% of the time, if you ask me what my opinion about Cassanda Clare is, I will tell you that I don't like her books. And 95% of the time, that statement rings true. However, this was the last book to the series that I should've never picked up [and ended up devouring while screaming "I HATE THIS"] and guys, it makes me feel both nostalgic and disgusted at the same time.

Winter comes out this year. I've gone to see Marissa Meyer twice and I loved it both times. I'm so sad that this beloved series is coming to an end this year. When it does come out, I'm going to be a non-functioning homosapien.

Can I say that out of all of the questions, this one is my absolute favorite. There's just a different sense of appeal with things that are marked "HELLA NO" on GR shelves. I don't actually have a GR shelf called "HELLA NO." It was a joke. Ha. Ha.
Anyway, how people everyone likes this is beyond me. Main character pissed me off, I was annoyed with everything and just... HELLA NO.
Also, I might've given this one another chance because "queen of second chances" but something happened with the author [and I] so if I do make a shelf called "HELLA NO" this book will be on it.
[Nova's maturity at it's finest. #SorryNotSorry.]

I struggled with this question a lot. My "favorite" author is never one person. It's like a collection. But since I just read The Remedy and I stated "I will read anything Suzanne Young writes", I'm making her my favorite author for this tag.

NO I WAS NOT OKAY WITH HOW THIS ENDED. I thought it was a standalone and then me and Nick had an awesome DM conversation about it and the FEELS. ALL OF DEM.
Yes, I used Suzanne Young twice, sue me.

This novel made me so self reflective. It follows the story of the same girl in two alternate realities. In one, she's gone through an accident that leaves her scarred. In the other, she hasn't. Where she's scarred, she finds herself thinking things might've been easier had the accident not happened and it's amazing because as the reader, I know that it isn't true. In the time stream where she isn't scarred, she's got another set of issues to deal with.
This book REALLY made me think.

Simply because it's Kasie West and Kasie West slays all of you.
[I'm using the same caption from my Taylor Swift book tag that was used to describe On The Fence.]

Whenever I think of this book, I get "Just One Yesterday" by Fall Out Boy stuck in my head and I have no idea why.
This book is epic in the whole action thing. Epic, I tell you.

It's like vampires meets Resident Evil [zombies.] Plus, the world building is epic as Julie Kagawa is.

What the hell was that ending? You know those books you should not read unless you have the sequel in your hands? HELLO UNRAVELING.

This book and I had problems. I didn't really get it until near the end. It's meant to be very "Un-PC." This includes fat jokes, jokes about disabled people and things that made me sick all courtesy of the main character, Cricket Montgomery.
Definitely an antihero.

Tagging....

The person reading this. Hi *waves*
[Also because I have no idea who to tag and being inclusive is good!]

I have no idea what I just wrote. Everything is a blur. Whether this is a well constructed book tag or a bunch of mess, I don't even know. Jessi, you rock for the tag, hope I didn't screw it up.

OMG I absolutely love The Program series. Wayy before i began blogging I read that series on my kindle and I've been wanting the hardcover copies of these books ever since. Have you seen what's under the dust jackets?? It's so pretty the hardbound covers! I can't believe I've finally found someone that's read the series as well! I didn't read The Remedy yet, heard it was a novella or prequel to one of the books. Wow I'm going to save The Sin Eater's Daughter for another time :P

I love these book tags! Pairing songs titles with books = too much fun. :D I love the friendship in Pivot Point and I am not ready for Cinder to end either. I still need to read Unraveling (I have both books, thankfully)!
