I haven't done one of these in far too long!
Eep, I haven't gotten any ARCs that I remember
so this is all going to be books I bought.

For those who don't know, I barely buy books. My financial situation is weird so I don't typically buy books. Also, I have a small room and the books are coming out of my ears (crap). But recently, I heard about Book Outlet, the site. Basically, it's a place where they get books from excess stock and marked lower (like all the books have a black dash on the bottom (which I'll have to live with). I'm not ashamed to say that I got a bunch of books and I'll be talking about them :)
This only cost 40 bucks yeahhhhh love you @BookOutletcom pic.twitter.com/drNZhH4ojc

Bought
- The Shadow Society by Marie Rutkoski - I read The Winner's Curse, LOVED it so I bought this one! I had a choice between Paperback and Hardcover and duh, HC for the win!
- Mind Games by Kiersten White - I read HALF of this book on EpicReads and couldn't finish it so I'm giddy to have this now!
- Speak by Laurie Hale Anderson - This book is in my syllabus this year, plus I feel like I'm the only one who hasn't read it yet. And it was 4 bucks! WIN!
- The Memory of After by Lenore Applehans - I heard about this one and it seemed interesting.
- 3:59 by Gretchen McNeil - I NEED THIS BECAUSE OF ALL THE HYPE!
- Eve and Adam by Michael Grant and Katherine Applegate - The cover is pretty and it attracted me from the shelf!
- Another Little Piece by Kate Karyus Quinn - I heard a mix of good and bad for this book so why not? I'm also sort of in the mood for a new kind of book.
- RUSH by Eve Silver - When I started blogging, I sent a HORRIBLY informal and juvenile ARC Request for this book. Obviously, it got denied so now, I'm going to read it and love it. (Or not but that would be sorta awkward.)
It'll take me forever to read these, but hey, I'm excited! And just so you know, this only cost 41 dollars. In a regular bookstore, I would only be able to get 2 HC's for that price. Let me know what you think about these reads. Have you read them? Did you love them? Hate them? Which are on your TBR?
That's a great selection of books, especially for the price. Book Outlet is the best.
ReplyDeleteAnd it isn't too far from where I live! So win!
DeleteGreat bunch of books, enjoy!

As a matter of fact I don't buy too much books too! :D Thankfully I have a mobile app which lets me read every book out there in the world... If they don't have it, I request that particular book and in a couple of days it would be in the store too! I love my E-Reader app! If not for this app, my reading would be in a downfall! :D Anyways great haul! I hope you enjoy them!
ReplyDeleteThanx for stopping by my blog! :)
Book Maniac Reviews
Is that legal? I know there are some where you get a subscription but if it isn't legal, I wouldn't reccomend using it because it's like stealing from the author :/
DeleteI loved Rush and just know you will like it too. Enjoy all of your books.
ReplyDeleteWow, that is an amazing stack of books for $40! I *almost* bought Speak last night (but it was $5, I still probably should have bought it!) also from a bargain section. I do not mind the line on the bottom of the book, because money! Hope you enjoy them, especially RUSH ;)

Bargain books are the best! Especially considering how expensive it can be when you're a bookworm who wants ALL THE BOOKS and their prices all add up. 'The Shadow Society' looks really good, and after reading 'The Winners Curse' it'd be great to see some of Marie Rutkoski's other work.

I don't buy books either! I just don't have the money too, which really pains me because I absolutely LOVE books. I definitely feel your joy here!! XD I really liked Eve and Adam. It's a bit ridiculous, but I do like that about a book (just the ending felt rushed). And I sooo want to read 3:95.
ReplyDeleteThanks for stopping by @ Notebook Sisters!
Your books were a really good bargain. Getting cheap books is the best!
ReplyDeleteI haven't read any Marie Rutkoski yet but I need to get on to that. Both The Winner's Curse and The Shadow Society look really good. 3:59 sounds interesting too, so I hope you enjoy your books. :)
I'm a great believer in picking up books through charity shops, discount stores, bookcrossing and trading. Sadly most of the book genres I read rarely appear in charity shops so I'm always trying to trade my unwanted books for Amazon vouchers to buy the next books on my list! Thanks for visiting my blog and enjoy your books!
ReplyDeleteLOVED Mind Games, completely crazy, but I like crazy. :) Happy reading!
ReplyDeleteHere's mine

I really enjoyed Shadow Society. I did the same thing, read Winner's Curse and loved it so I wanted to read anything else the author wrote.
ReplyDeleteAnother Little Piece…it is weird and creepy but I really liked it. Have fun reading! ~Pam
Nice haul of books. I see quite a few good books in here that look awesome. Plus they were at a great price. Enjoy your new acquistions. They look fabulous.
ReplyDeleteGrace @ Books of Love
Unfortunately, I have to but books every time I even look at a bookshop, or this terribly uneasy feeling hits me. I admire you, though!
ReplyDeleteGreat haul- I love books at bargains:) just followed your blog.

Nice haul and for the price, what a steal! I've been wanting to read Speak but I'm also hesitant knowing that it's going to be heavy. Hope you like your books. Here's ours: BiblioJunkies Happy Reading! ~ Bel
ReplyDeleteI hardly ever buy new books, and mainly get them as gifts. My physical hauls are mainly second hand and any I buy as ebooks are only ever kindle deals.
ReplyDeleteThen again, I get so many eARCs, it would be wrong to buy any more to add to my long suffering TBR pile.
Thanks for stopping by mine x
I loved Mind Games and its sequel. I really want to read 3:59. It's coming out in PB soon, maybe even today now that I think about it, and plan to buy it soon. Great haul and happy reading!
ReplyDeleteooo, i'm curious about The Shadow Society by Marie Rutkoski. Loved Winner's Curse too.
ReplyDeleteGotta love a bargain! I think the only one I've read is Speak. But a few of the others are on my list. Thanks for stopping by! Enjoy!
ReplyDeleteI love Book Outlet!! it's awesome how many amazing books they have there! Another Little Piece and 3:59 are both fantastic, I hope you like them also! Happy Reading :)
