A-Z Survey!

with 4 comments
Jamie at the Perpetual Page Turner created this cool survey/challenge type... thing? Well, I'm going to knock myself out at it, but it'll be easier than that 15 day book blogger challenge that I actually never finished... *reminisces on random projects started but not finished*

That being done, LET'S GET TO THE Qs!

Author you’ve read the most books from:

You guys like to read, right? I have a funny feeling this question in itself is going to take a little while to answer.I think the better question would be "authors that have written a lot of books". You can't count an author who's written one book and you've read it 30 times. Oh wait. I am counting that.

too lazy...
First on my list is definitely... JK Rowling! Come on, that's predictable and you know it. She's written 7 books in Harry Potter and I've read all of them. Her other books? Nah.
Then we've got... CASSANDRA CLARE! I LOVE this author. I don't care if she was accused of this and that... She's written 8 books and I own... ALL OF THEM.
Next up? Rick Riordan. Let' do some addition, now... YAY! 5 Percy Jacksons + 3 Kane Chronicles + 3 Lost Heroes... So far =11 books I've read so far! Cool.
LAST UP!!! ...Veronica Roth. Yeah, yeah. She's only written 2 books (excluding the anthology and Allegiant.) I tell everyone this and maybe I should be proud, but I've read Divergent more times than any month has days... Don't judge me.

Best Sequel Ever:

I detect a singular word in the word "sequel". Does that mean I choose one? NOPE! BREAKING THE RULES. And these aren't direct 2nd book sequels :P
  • Through the Zombie Glass - Gena Showalter
  • Opal - Jennifer L. Armentrout
  • City of Lost Souls - Cassandra Clare

Currently Reading:

I'm currently reading The S Word - Chelsea Pitcher.

Drink of Choice While Reading:

Most likely a smoothie because I drink smoothies with everything.

E-reader or Physical Book?

Physical books period just because I don't have a lot of books yet.

Fictional Character You Probably Would Have Actually Dated In High School:

I'm not in high school, so that's weird. I would say that I have this "thing" for bad boys in general, so here's a list: Noah Hutchins, Cole Hollands, Jace Wayland, Daemon Black, Dante Walker and Tobias Eaton. You know you're smiling at the hotness :P

Glad You Gave This Book A Chance:

I've been told that Lauren Destefano is terrible, so I always steered clear of her. Anyway, I received and ARC of Perfect Ruin, her new series and I'm so GLAD I read it because it's amazing.

Hidden Gem Book:

When I was surfing NetGalley, I found a book called Secret for a Song - SK Falls. No one really talks about it that much, but it was an AMAZING book for me.

Important Moment in your Reading Life:

My on the spur decision to make a blog. I have no life + love for books + strange, formal writing = BECOME A BLOGGER! And it's opened so many doors for me. I now have so many contacts with publishers and it's doing me such amazing things.

Just Finished:

Read and finished Through the Zombie Glass - Gena Showalter in a day and it's AMAZING. Review to come ;)

Kinds of Books You Won’t Read:

Erotica, MG, Extreme Sci-Fi, Historical Fiction (most), Erotica Religious Fiction. No... just no.

Longest Book You’ve Read:

Long in page length or long in feeling? I don't know how long my books are but I'd bet Harry Potter for page and Inkheart - Cornelia Funke for feeling. It took me 4 months to read Inkheart and a) it's a high school book, b) I read it in the third grade.

Major book hangover because of:

The Immortal Rules. The ending is just felt so inconclusive and I feel like I needed more. Right after finishing it, I was like "DAD! YOU NEED TO BUY ME THIS... PLEASE???" Just because I got it at the library.

Number of Bookcases You Own:

I feel like I'm expected to say a number more than one. Sorry? I only have one and I have like 100 books. :(

One Book You Have Read Multiple Times:

Going back to the fact I've read Divergent more than a month has days...

Preferred Place To Read:

My bed? Or a big comfy couch. I hate reading outside.

Quote that inspires you/gives you all the feels from a book you’ve read:

“I love you enough to never make you choose.”
― Katie McGarry, Pushing the Limits
Dude... ALL THE FEELS.

Reading Regret:

When I read a book too fast because I want to know what happens next. I forget the plot like a week later and then have no time to reread it again. that makes me so angry.

Series You Started and Need To Finish (all books are out in series):

The Pretty Little Liars/Lying Game series. I read one book in each and never picked up the rest, even though I didn't hate it.

Three of your All-Time Favorite Books:

I WILL NOT ANSWER THIS AND YOU CANNOT MAKE ME. Limiting books to 3 will kill me. :P

Unapologetic Fangirl For:

AG Howard, Veronica Roth, Marissa Meyer, Amanda Sun, Katie McGarry, Lauren Destefano, Veronica Roth, Tahereh Mafi, Jodi Meadows, Lauren Oliver, Julie Kagawa, Veronica Roth.

Very Excited For This Release More Than All The Others:

Allegiant. You should've expected that and if you didn't, you're probably rolling your eyes at my fangirlishness.

Worst Bookish Habit:

I have two because I'm oh-so cool like that. A) I like the juggle between books and then end up forgetting the plot. I'm currently reading 4 books at once right now. And B) I like to put off reviewing till the last minute and I forget plot and my opinions.

X Marks The Spot; Start at your top shelf and go to your 27th book:

Variant - Robison Wells

Your latest book purchase:

I barely ever buy books... :( But I'm going to a bookstore today... Anyway, the most recent one is Pandemonium by Lauren Oliver.

ZZZ-snatcher book (last book that kept you up WAY late):

These Broken Stars - Amie Kaufman & Meagan Spooner

I wish I could read in my bed! My husband goes to bed really early so I just have to hang out in my recliner.
